The Overarching Sky

Pairing/Characters: Vongola Eleventh gen, Tsuna, Reborn
Word Count: 4526
Summary: Part of the Generations project. Mari chooses her Guardians, which runs into occasional trouble with both family and Family foibles.
"You wanted to see me, Father?" Mari closed the door of the study behind her, noted her father's expression, both affectionate and harried, and looked around for a baby in a suit. Sure enough, Reborn was in one of the armchairs with a tiny cup of coffee. "Reborn, welcome back."

So, at the end, I did see my scores, and I did write them down, but like a bonehead I didn't write down which was for which portion of the test. I was feeling pretty down about it at first since for some reason I thought the scores were out of 1000, but since I looked up the scores and found out that they're out of 800, I'm now very pleased with myself and will no longer threaten to retake the test or commit seppuku like I was originally intending.
So, the scores:
720 in ?
790 in ?
It looks like on average people score better in the quantitative than the verbal, so maybe 790 is my quantitative score, but that just seems kind of weird to me. At least on the SATs, my verbal was significantly higher than my quantitative score, and I felt like I struggled more with the quantitative stuff. (I got down to the wire on time, if nothing else!) So who knows. I'll get my print-out next week or the week after I think, so then I'll know for sure then. But either way, I think I did pretty well!
(Just wait. I wrote them down wrong and I will have to commit seppuku after all once I get the print out.)
And now I'm off to get my luggage packed for TAM. Woohoo, fun weekend ahoy!

I used to doubt the bacon and sweets combination. I sneered, I claimed nausea at the very idea. Then I had a Maple Bacon Bar during a visit to Portland. I was converted.
These cookies are a wonderful combination of the sweet maple-y flavor, nuttiness and an almost subtle smoky/salty flavor from the bacon. I'd previously made a batch with less maple and chocolate chips added, but I find this combo to be more of a "breakfast plate in a cookie", which is kind of what I was hoping for. :)
